United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare October 11th as the International day of the girlchild to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world. This year’s theme was “invest in Girls Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being.
“Our Time is Now, Our Rights, Our Future”

Consolation Joined other partners in courtesy of Koinonia Community in marking this day and celebrating the girl child. The event took place In Anita homes where schools, partners, and other stakeholders in Kajiado county were present. The aim of event was tochampion for the rights of the girl child where the partners targeted raising pads for the girlchild and not forgetting the boxers for the boys.
This event started by tree planting, and was graced with songs, poems, dances and acrobats from students, speeches but mainly from the guest of honor Faiza Muchara. After which the day was concluded by life skills and mental health training to the students.
