CEA has worked in Kenya, South Sudan and Somalia in peace building and reconciliation. The work on peace building is contextual and depends of the situation of each country. The basic peace building interventions have entailed:

• Setting up systems on alternative dispute resolutions
• Having reconciliatory meetings among elders of differing factions
• Pre-election sensitizations and handling of sensitivities
• Post electoral handling of hard feelings
• Continuous education on peace building, reconciliation and solidarity
• Advocating for equity considerations to address injustices
