Consolation Joined other Civil Societies representatives in a three day summit for the eight East African Nations under the EAC; Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and Somalia. Aim was discuss the CSOs and East African Community Integration(Harnessing EAC citizens potential for the regional integration process), Strengths, challenges and opportinities for EAC. Centering people and communities in the process of integration and EAC governance for meaningful engagement of the communities and CSOs

There Were several thematic areas of discussions which included, climate change, youths,state of democracy in the region,Trade and Investments in EA, children, technologies among others- for a meaningful engagement between the EAC and the CSOs and community.
The welfare of the youths and children of East Africa, as well as East African Electoral governance and Business space.
CEA together with other CSOs in the Kenyan chapter, joined to present a press conference in regard to mishandling of finance bill protesters in Kenya.
