Promoting Inclusion: CEA Engages Inmates at Nairobi West Prison

CEA continues to expand its commitment to inclusive community engagement by reaching often-overlooked populations. On 7th April 2026, CEA alongside the Dimes team, visited Nairobi West Prison following an invitation from the facility’s officer in charge of talents.

The visit aimed to foster a sense of inclusion and connection among inmates, reinforcing the message that they are not forgotten. As inmates remain a key focus area for CEA, the engagement provided a meaningful opportunity to interact, listen, and contribute to their social well-being.

The session highlighted the importance of creating safe and supportive spaces, even within correctional facilities, where individuals can feel valued and encouraged to rebuild their sense of purpose.

Looking ahead, the team was informed of a major event scheduled for 1st May, to which CEA has been formally invited. Preparations are underway, including the development of an event banner, with CEA expected to contribute its logo. A formal invitation letter will be shared in due course.

As part of ongoing efforts, the Dimes team will continue conducting training sessions at the facility every Monday and Thursday. CEA will explore opportunities for participation in these sessions to further strengthen its engagement and impact.

Through such initiatives, CEA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind, promoting dignity, inclusion, and hope for all.
