GBV Sensitization Workshop in Kajiado County -FODDAJ

Consolation continues to strengthen its commitment to addressing gender-based violence (GBV) through active participation in multi-stakeholder platforms. On 11th March 2026, CEA was invited by the Forum for Women in Development, Democracy and Justice (FODDAJ) to take part in a GBV sensitization workshop held in Kajiado County.

The workshop convened a diverse group of partners, including civil society organizations, community actors, and development stakeholders, all working toward a shared goal of preventing and responding to GBV.

Discussions during the session highlighted that, despite ongoing efforts, significant structural and systemic barriers continue to hinder progress in eliminating GBV. These include deeply rooted social norms, gaps in policy implementation, limited access to survivor-centered services, and coordination challenges among stakeholders.

The engagement provided a critical platform for knowledge sharing, reflection, and collective problem-solving, reinforcing the need for more coordinated, community-driven approaches to effectively address GBV at all levels.

CEA’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to advocacy, partnership building, and strengthening protective systems for vulnerable populations, particularly women and girls.

Moving forward, CEA remains focused on supporting collaborative efforts that address the root causes of GBV while promoting prevention, protection, and access to justice for survivors.
